About this record

Who built it, what it reads, and what it will not claim.

The short version

A record for a framework in transition.

This site is built and published by Gerard Blokdyk at The Art of Service. It is not affiliated with ISO or IEC. It states each unit in our own words, cites the source, and separates the published base edition from the public draft record. It does not quote the standard and it does not certify anyone.

What was read

  • The public ISO record for ISO/IEC 23053:2022/FDAmd 1, standard 88149: designation, stage 50.00 on 28 August 2026, the stage history, the committee and ICS.
  • The public ISO record for the base standard, 74438: edition 1, 36 pages, published June 2022, and the public sample: cover, contents, foreword, introduction and clauses 1 to 6.3.
  • The public summary of EN ISO/IEC 23053:2023/prA1:2025, published in the standards.iteh.ai catalogue record, the only public account of the draft's additions at 6.5.3.2.9, 6.5.3.2.10, 7.5 and the bibliography.
  • The CEN-CENELEC project record, which lists 4 April 2027 as the expected publication date for the European adoption.
  • The public ISO/IEC 42001:2023 record, whose normative reference is ISO/IEC 22989:2022 and whose bibliography cites ISO/IEC 23053. The amendment is not a 42001 normative requirement.
  • The parallel ISO/IEC 22989 Amendment 1 and the ISO/IEC 23053 AWI Amendment 2 project records.

What the record does not claim

The amendment body is not held. No page quotes it, paraphrases it as text or presents it as published. The planning date is an estimate. No certification or transition audit exists. The free check is a planning reading, not a compliance result. The kit is a working record, not a certificate or a legal opinion. The watch reports changes to the public record and cannot report a change that has not been published.

How the pages are made

One reviewed data file drives every page, the free check, the kit and the watch. The file carries a source pointer on every field and a retrieval date. No page is written from memory or from a search snippet. The refresh script re-reads the public records, diffs them against the data file and fails loudly when the stage, the date, the title, the project list or the sample hash changes.
